Who we are
FlightPayback is operated by ClinSol Services Inc., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the information described in this policy. Our privacy contact can be reached at privacy@myflightpayback.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website and the free compensation check. Our paid claim pack isn't available yet. It will need more information (such as your name, email address and flight details) and a payment, so before we offer it we will update this policy and show you what we collect before you buy.
What we collect during the free check
Your answers are sent to our server, which compares them with Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations and returns the result. We then keep one anonymous record of the check, containing only:

We do not store your name, email address, phone number, booking reference, ticket or flight number, exact flight date or times, IP address or any device identifier. The record can't be linked back to you.
Using FlightPayback through an AI assistant
You can also run the free check through AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Meta Muse or Claude. The assistant sends us only the answers the check needs, the same ones listed above, and we handle them exactly like a check on our website. We don't receive your name, email address or your conversation. What the assistant does with your chat is covered by the assistant's own privacy policy.
Some assistants ask you to "connect" FlightPayback first. That connection creates no account and stores nothing about you: the assistant simply receives a temporary access key that works only for the free check.
Technical information
Our website runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We have switched off request logging in our application, so we don't keep IP addresses. Cloudflare's own handling of this information is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how fast our pages load. It doesn't use cookies or other storage on your device, doesn't fingerprint you, and doesn't track you across other websites.

How we use information

- To count checks and understand which airlines, routes and causes are most common, so we can improve the service and our articles.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We don't sell, rent or share information for advertising, and we don't show ads.
Where information is stored
Cloudflare operates data centres around the world, including in the United States, so information may be processed outside Canada and be subject to the laws of those countries.
How long we keep it
Anonymous check records don't identify anyone, so we may keep them for as long as they're useful for the purposes above.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent. Because the free check doesn't keep personal information, we normally won't hold anything about you, but you can always ask. Email privacy@myflightpayback.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site is meant for adults. A parent or guardian should do the check for a child passenger.
Security
The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS) with strict security settings, and we collect as little as possible in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect, we'll say so clearly on the site before it takes effect.
